Michael Humber completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing in 1997 and his Master of Nurse Anesthesia at UAB in 2001. in 2012, he completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice at UAB. He has worked at UAB in both a facility role for many years and clinical practitioner at UAB Hospital and retired in 2024. He is President and owner of Central Alabama Anesthesiology, Inc. which staffs anesthesia locations and provides educational offerings to CRNAs and other healthcare providers. Dr. Humber has served many years on the Alabama Association of Nurse Anesthetists (ALANA) Board in various capacities from Director to Treasurer to President in 2016 and 2018. He served as the inaugural State Political Director for ALANA representing the interests of CRNAs in Montgomery with our state legislators and agencies. In now a new phase of life, he is a consultant on legislative issues and has stepped down as the SPD. He is very passionate about representing and protecting the CRNA profession.
